Listens to people’s issues in Kalakote village |
RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 11: Minister
for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Gani Kohli said that
the Government is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people,
especially living in far-flung and remote areas. He said in this regard liberal
funding is being provided by the Centre Government for improving the
socio-economic condition of the weaker sections of the society of the State.
The Minister was speaking at a Public grievance redress camp here
at Katwari Badoog Chowdhary Nar, in Kalakote area of Rajouri.
The camp were attended by a large number of people of the area.
The Minister said that several flagship programmes have been launched by
the State and Centre Governments in the State but need is to ensure their
proper implementation on the ground.
He said administration has been directed to meet the fixed
targets in a time bound manner and utilize the earmarked funds for current
fiscal in full and judiciously
Referring to the development of Kalakot Constituency, the Minister said work on various
developmental projects including micro and macro are in full swing. “The
completion of these projects is definitely going to change
socio-economic condition of the people of the area “he added.
On the occasion, the people put forth their demands
which included construction of lanes, drains, culverts, protection bunds, early
disposal/ sanctioning of IAY cases and up-gradation of health and educational
institutes. The Minister gave a patient hearing and assured them that their
genuine demands will be looked into.
In some cases, the Minister gave on the spot directions to the concerned
for immediate redressal of matters of urgent nature.
Later, the Minister attended a function at Press Club Rajouri where he
also highlighted the achievements registered by the present Government during
the last three years. He said efforts are afoot to make the State of Jammu and
Kashmir a model state of the Country.
