Chennai, Nov 11: The Income-Tax raids as part of the 'Operation Clean Money' on the residential and business premises of expelled and jailed AIADMK leader V K Sasikala and a number of family members,  continued for the third day today.
The raids, which began in about 187 places on Thursday following suspected tax evasion and illegal routing of funds through shell  companies post demonetisation, has ended in several places, but  continued for the third day in about 40 places like Jaya TV, its  Managing Director Vivek Jayaraman (son of J Ilavarasi also jailed  along with Sasikala in DA case), residence and office premises,  his sister Krishna Priya's residence, where Sasikala stayed during  her parole period, AIADMK organ 'Namadhu MGR' Jazz Cinemas  and at Midas distilleries in and around Chennai. The non-stop raids were also continuing at the residential and  business premises of Sasikala's brother Dhivakaran at Mannargudi  in Tiruvarur district and the college owned by him, Kodanad estate  in the cool climes of Nilgiris district, where late Chief Minister  J Jayalalithaa used to visit. purchased in the name of shell companies (that remained only on paper), to the tune of Rs 150 crore were said to have been seized  and reports about these seizures were sent to the Central Board of  Direct Taxes in this regard. UNI
