JAMMU, NOVEMBER 16: Jammu & Kashmir Administrative
Services Officers Association has welcomed the posting of Ms Rubina Kousar, KAS
as Mission Director ICPS, replacing Hilal Ahmad Bhat who had been appointed by
the Social Welfare Department.
“The
Association feels that the move has not only lifted the morale of the KAS
fraternity, but every such positive gesture from the Government will only make
the officers more determined and motivated to work with rejuvenated fervor
towards the welfare of the state and its people,” said a
statement issued by Mr Waseem Raja, Publicity Secretary KAS Officers
Association.
He said the KAS cadre has been feeling marginalized by the recent
appointment of some professionals against cadre posts without following proper
norms. “The KAS officers feel that such practice not only erodes the sanctity of
merit, but poses a question mark on the credibility of institutions,” he said.
The Association expresses hope that in coming days the remaining
officers appointed without following due procedure will also be replaced.
