Panel to conduct study tour of West Bengal, Maharashtra, Rajasthan from Nov 22

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 16: A meeting of the Committee on Privilege of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held here today under the Chairmanship of MLA, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat to discuss pending breach of privileges before the Committee.
Legislators, Javid Ahmad Rana, Mohammad Amin Bhat, Ravinder Raina, Dina Nath Bhagat, Aijaz Ahmad Mir and Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal attended the meeting and gave their valuable suggestions regarding the early settlement of Privilege motions.
          Threadbare discussion was held on breach of Privilege notice given by MLA, R S Pathania against the then Commissioner Secretary Education Department besides other pending privilege notices given by legislators were also discussed in the meeting.
          The Committee considered the written request sent by the then Commissioner Secretary Education Department for his absence from todays meeting with directions to him for attending the next meeting. The Committee also asked the Chief Education Officer, Udhampur and Zonal Education Officer, Majalta to accompany the then Commissioner Secretary Education in the said meeting.
          It was decided in the meeting that the Committee will conduct a study tour to West Bengal, Maharashtra and Rajasthan from 22nd November 2017 to interact with sister Committees of respective States.

          Among Others, Secretary Legislative Assembly, M R Singh, Deputy Secretary, LA, Abdul Qayoom Mir, Under Secretary, LA Shabir Ahmed and other officers and officials of Assembly Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
