Delhi, Nov 16: The Union Minister for Law & Justice and Information
Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad on Thursday reiterated that Kashmir belongs to
India and will remain the part of India.
While briefing media persons after the cabinet meeting here, he was replying to a question regarding the statement made by the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and former Union Cabinet Minister Farooq Abdullah a few days back. He said that government is aware of Parliament resolution which states that Kashmir is an integral part of India. Mr Abdullah had said that Pakistan was "not weak and not wearing bangles to allow India to take that part of Jammu and Kashmir under its occupation". While addressing a gathering in Uri area, the former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister had added, "Till how long the innocent lives will be killed? For seventy years they have been trying to occupy PoK, but have failed and now they say that it's our region." UNI
