SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 02: Commissioner Secretary Food, Civil
Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) M D Khan held a meeting to review
the functioning of the department and to take stock and supply position of food
grains, LPG and other essential supplies in the Kashmir division.
During the meeting, the Commissioner Secretary was informed, presently 7.29
lac quintals of rice and 1.77 lac quintals of wheat, atta is stored various
godowns of the department in the Valley.
It was further revealed that 4856 KLs of kerosene and 2.66 lac gas
cylinders have been stocked up by various oil companies.
Khan was informed that sufficient stock supply has been dumped in the
areas like Kargil and Drass to ensure that people there do not face any
inconvenience during the winter months.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary stressed upon the concerned to
ensure that they continue to work with dedication. He said that the department
should strive hard to ensure that people during winters would not face any kind
of difficulty.
Director FCS&CA Nisar Ahmed Wani, and the concerned were present in
the meeting.
