New Delhi, Nov 8: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday held a meeting with Columbian Foreign Minister Maria Angela Holguin.
"Bolstering our engagement with a friendly country. EAM @SushmaSwaraj welcomes the 
Colombian Foreign Minister Ms Maria Angela Holguin to India. India and Colombia share cordial bilateral relations," Ministry of External Affairs spokesman Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
The diplomatic relations between India and Colombia were established on January 19, 1959. 
On July 14, 1970 Colombia and India signed a commercial accord. Colombia opened its embassy in New Delhi only in 1972 while the following year, India  established an embassy in Bogotá in 1973. UNI
