Three die, two injured as car hits tree

Jaunpur, Nov 25: Three people died and two were critically injured when the car they were travelling in dashed against a tree in Kerakat area of the district on Friday night.

According to police, the occupants of the car from Makhdoompur village were travelling on Maudhela-Thanagaddi highway when the driver lost control over the steering and the car hit a 'sheesham' tree. Due to the impact of the speed, the car got stuck in the tree trunk. A JCB had to be pressed into service to extricate the mangled remains of the car. Three deceased were identified as Subhash Yadav, Sandeep and Munnu. Two others injured in the accident were rushed to hospital, where their condition was stated to be critical. UNI
