New Delhi, Dec 6:  After battling with life for six days, the newborn which was wrongly declared 'dead' by Max Super Speciality Hospital died on Wednesday at a hospital in the national capital.
According to sources, the newborn passed away at a hospital in Pritampura during treatment.
On Tuesday, a Delhi Government probe panel had found the Max Hospital guilty of negligence in connection with the matter.
Earlier, the hospital authorities has terminated services of two doctors in the case for allegedly declaring the newborn dead but was found alive later.
On Sunday, Delhi Police had sent a notice to the hospital administration after it registered a case under Section 308 IPC (attempt to commit culpable homicide) in connection with the incident.
The Delhi Medical Council (DMC) had also said it will examine the case.
The baby was one of the twins who were born prematurely on November 30 at the Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh.
One of them was stillborn while another was kept on life-support. Later, the parents were informed that the second baby had also died. The hospital authorities handed over the body in a plastic bag.
However, just before cremation, the family noticed there was some movement in 'the body' and to their surprise they discovered that the baby was alive. UNI
