3 persons killed, 7 others injured in road accidents in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 1: Three people, including two policemen, were killed and seven others were injured in two different road accidents in Kashmir valley, official sources said here this evening.

         They said a vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a nallah at Kralpora in Kupwara, resulting in on the spot death of two persons and injures to three others.
         The injured were immediately taken to a local hospital.
         After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the bodies of the deceased, identified as Ruqaiya Begum and police Head Constable Habib-ul-lah Lone, were handed over to their relatives for last rites.
         They said two vehicles collided with each other at Barsoo in Awantipora on Srinagar-Jammu national highway, resulting in injuries to four persons, including two drivers.
       The injured were immediately taken to a hospital, where one of the drivers, identified as Mohammad Farooq Raina, was declared brought dead. “Raina is Constable is state police,” they added. UNI
