JAMMU, DECEMBER 7: In connection with the pinning ceremony on
the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, a delegation of Sainik Welfare Board
(SWB) led by its Director, Brig. (R) Harcharan Singh called on the Chief
Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here today.
The day is being observed every year to collect funds for the
welfare of Armed forces personnel.
The Chief Minister, on the occasion, urged people to donate
generously for the welfare of ex-servicemen, widows and dependent families of
the personnel.
The other members of the delegation which met the Chief Minister
included Maj. Gen. Sunita Kapoor (Retd.); Col. Rawel Singh (Retd.); Hony Capt.
Sansar Chand and Havildar Rashid Ahmad (Retd.).
