RAMBAN, DECEMBER 01: To mark the World AIDS day
an awareness programme regarding prevention and treatment of HIV was held at
District Hospital Ramban, today.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Ramban
Dr.Saif-Ud-Din Khan was the chief guest on the occasion. Medical
Superintendent Ramban D V Singh besides other medical, para-medical and ASHA
workers were present during the function.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Saif-Ud-Din Khan
sought support from religious organizations, NGOs, intellectuals and
educational institutions to help create awareness among the general masses for
prevention of AIDS.
CMO Ramban said that the Government has launched
a massive awareness campaign to generate awareness for prevention of AIDS and
stressed on synergised efforts of all stakeholders to prevent this disease.
Besides this other participants who spoke
included MS Ramban Dr. DharamVeer Singh, Pathologist Dr. Parvaiz, Dr. Narinder
Consultant and Pediatrician.
Similar programmes were also organised at block
levels.
