JAMMU, DECEMBER 22: The State Government is
committed to make J&K the most preferred investment destination; this was
stated by Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga, while
chairing the meeting of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), here today.
The Minister
called for coordinated approach to lay out the desired design for the ease of
doing business in the state and stated that government is working hard to
improve business environment and state’s ranking on Ease of doing Business.
The Minister
exhorted the need for effective operational strategies to create enhanced
opportunities of employability in the state and said that Jammu and Kashmir
would soon be listed in the top 15 states in the list of ease of doing business
in the country
Ganga shared
that along with the incentive packages from Central Government, the State
Government has also come up with number of policy measures like fiscal
incentives, availability of land banks, development of industrial corridors,
power availability and ease of doing business to extend a red carpet welcome to
the potential investors in the State. He said government has taken a number of
measures like self-certification contributing towards building a conducive
environment for investors.
Minister said that
government is committed to provide better business facilities to the industries
including 24x7 power supply, road connectivity and better infrastructure.
Deputy Chairman
CII Northern Region Sachit Jain, Regional Chairman CII Northern Region Babu
Khan and members of CII were present on the occasion.
Earlier,
Minister attended the 13th Annual Day celebration of Jodhamal Public School and
said that schools should focus on moral values rather than mere education to
the students. Ganga asked the school management to always take the initiative
for proper education and guidance for children as they are the future leader of
the country. Minister stressed upon to ensure the all-round development of the
children as future of our nation depends on them.
