Process on for recruitment against 1289 non-teaching
posts, to be completed in 3 months:

JAMMU, DECEMBER 14: To meet dearth of staff in schools, the
Government has directed the JK Services Selection Board (JKSSB) to complete
much awaited recruitment for 2154 teacher posts in next four months.
The Department of Education has referred 3450 posts to
JKSSB which include 2154 vacancies of teachers and 1,289 of non-teaching staff.
Chairing a meeting here today, the Minister for Education, Syed
Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, asked Secretary School Education Department, Farooq
Ahmed Shah and JKSSB Chairperson Simrandeep Singh to coordinate their efforts
to complete the paperwork and start the recruitment process in
January.
Setting the deadline, the Minister directed the SSB
Chairperson to complete the recruitment in all respects in next four months.
Meanwhile, the Minister also set three-month deadline for
completing the ongoing recruitment for 1,289 non-teaching staff posts which
include 575 posts of junior Assistants, 392 Laboratory Assistances, 228 Library
Assistants and 94 posts of Junior Librarians.
It was informed that the 7 vacancies of drivers referred
by the department would also be advertised by the JKSSB soon.
The Minister assured JKSSB of all cooperation and said that department would
ensure speedy flow of additional information and data if the Board needs so.
The SSB chairperson assured that the recruitment process would
be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
Additional
Secretary to School education department Mussarat-ul-Islam and other senior
officers of education department were also present in the meeting.
