RAJOURI, DECEMBER 07: Minister for Forests, Ecology and
Environment Choudhary Lal Singh and Member Parliament Jugal Kishore
Sharma today laid foundation stone of Forest Guest House near Mangla Mata
in Nowshera to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh by Forest
Department.

Conservator of Forests Ravi Kesar, Chief Conservator of Forests Farooq Gillani,
Managing Director SFC Suresh Gupta, Director Soil Water and Conservation Javed
Iqbal Punju, Director Forest Protection Force Asif Mehmood Sagar, Director SFRI
B M Sharma and other concerned senior officers accompanied the Minister.
After laying the foundation stone for Forest Guest House,
Choudhary Lal Singh said that the Government is making all efforts to provide
basic amenities to the pilgrims near Mangla Mata in Bhawani village. He
informed that Government has released Rs 28 lakh out of total project cost of
Rs 50 lakh for commencing the construction work of the Forest Guest House. He
directed the executing agency to gear up their men and machinery for completing
the work within stipulated time frame.
Responding to the demands of locals, Minister announced Rs 50
lakh for upgradation of basic amenities in the Bhawani village near Mangla Mata.
He further informed that Government has earmarked Rs 1 crore for construction
of Nowshera bye-pass road, adding that work of the road is under progress and
would be completed within prescribed time.
Choudhary Lal Singh asked MD SFC to dump two truck timber of
diffident kind of wood in Bhawani village so that the locals could purchase the
same on Government rates.
The Minister said that Government has prepared a comprehensive
plan to beautify every barren and roadside strip. He emphasized the importance
of trees and plants and mentioned that trees are best friends of mankind as
they serve in a variety of ways to every creature on planet earth.
Member Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma announced Rs 10 lakh for
upgradation of lanes, drains and improvement of drinking water facilities in
Bhawani village. MLC Surinder Choudhary also announced Rs 10 lakh for
development works in Nowshera.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Ravinder Raina said that Nowshera
constituency would be developed with all modern line basic amenities like
adequate drinking water, un-interrupted power supply, road connectivity,
health, education besides better lanes and drains. He said central Government
headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched various centrally sponsored
schemes for upgrading the socio-economic condition of the weaker sections of
the society particularly in far-off areas of the State.
Regarding development of Sher Makkadi and Jhunger villages as
Model villages under BADP, MLA informed that Rural Development Ministry has submitted
a detailed project report to Union RDD Minister for development of both
villages as model village.
For construction of Sher Makkdi-Junger road, he asked the
concerned department to prepare DPR and submit the same for funding so that the
construction work of the road would be started for the convenience of the
general public.
On the demand of locals of the Bhawani village, MLA announced Rs
11 lakh for basic amenities at Mangla Mata.
Later,
the Minister along with other dignitaries kick starts works for construction of
11.075 kilometer long Bhawani-Dharal road, to be constructed at an estimated
cost of Rs 14.14 crore by Border Road Organisation (BRO) and Dharal-Bhajwal
road, to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 11.19 crore by R&B
department. He asked the executing agencies to complete both the roads by
January 2019 for the convenience of the people.
