Delhi, Dec 22: The Congress on Friday continued its uproar in the Rajya
Sabha on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's allegations against his predecessor
Manmohan Singh forcing adjournment of the House for the day on Friday.
Soon after laying papers in the House, Leader of the
Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad raised the issue and sought to resolve it before other business was taken up. Addressing the Chair, Mr Azad said, "A committee was constituted to break the deadlock. His views were supported by deputy Leader of Opposition Anand Sharma and other Congress leaders.
Minister of state for Parliamentary Affairs Vijay Goel urged the Congress leaders to initiate the debate on Bills, saying that these bills pertain to public interests.
Upon the request from the principal opposition party, Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu adjourned the House for the day.
