SAMBA, DECEMBER 16 - Minister for
Industries and Commerce Chander Parkash Ganga today laid the foundation stone
of playfield at Kotli Matlakian in Ramgarh sector to be constructed at an
estimated cost of Rs. 9 lakh here.
While addressing the gathering, the
Minister asserted that the government is committed to provide better sports
facilities and infrastructure to the youth to help them perform better in
national and international tournaments and bring laurels to the state.
He appealed the youth to work hard
and keep themselves away from social evils like drug addiction to achieve their
desired goals. A proactive approach and public participation is vital for a
prosperous society and nation, he added.
He urged them to participate in the
nation building and work together against corruption and other social evils.
Later, the Minister convened a public
grievances redress camp to listen the problems and demands of the villagers.
The locals apprised them about the problems being faced by them related to
power and water supply, road connectivity, sanitation and education.
Responding to their demands, the
Minister assured that all their genuine demands would be redressed in a time
bound manner. He exhorted upon the officers to closely monitor the work and put
sincere efforts in creating quality assets.
