Kanimozhi, Raja accorded rousing reception, seek Karuna's blessings

Chennai, Dec 23: Two days after their acquittal in the 2G spectrum scam case, DMK Rajya Sabha Member Kanimozhi and former Union Telecom Minister A Raja were accorded a rousing reception on their arrival at the Chennai airport on Saturday.

DMK Working President M K Stalin personally visited the airport and received them by presenting shawls.
A large number of DMK leaders and party cadres were present at the airport and lustily cheered Kanimozhi, who is also the daughter of DMK President M Karunanidhi, and Raja.
Enthusiastic DMK cadres welcomed them by beating drums and dancing.
They also performed some folk dances to welcome them at the airport, which was awash with DMK flags and party cadres. 
Both Kanmimozhi and Raja had to wade through the milling crowd to reach a specially erected dais where they received bouquets and shawls from party cadres. 
Later, the duo drove down to Karunanidhi's Gopalapuram residence and sought his blessings.
A large number of DMK cadres also assembled at Gopalapuram and accorded a rousing reception.
Later talking to reporters after the meeting, Raja said he was happy to meet 'Kalaignar' (as Mr Karunanidhi is called) and seek his blessings.
He said Mr Karunanidhi was happy over their acquittal and turned emotional and nostalgic on seeing him. UNI
