Bengaluru, Dec 27: Hundreds of BJP workers courted arrest when they attempted to forcibly enter the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) office in the city by removing the barricades
restricting their movement.
The partymen, including former Deputy Chief Minister R Ashok, former Ministers Katta Subramanya Naidu and Arvind Limbavali, were taken in buses to remote places.
The BJP workers and leaders were protesting in front of KPCC office alleging that the ruling Congress headed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah unnecessarily blaming BJP on the Mahadayi issue and provoking the farmers.
Meanwhile, police resorted to lathi charge on NSUI members while staging protest in front of KPCC office to counter agitation by the BJP workers. UNI
