Delhi, Dec 18: BJP national president Amit Shah on Monday described the
party’s victory in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh as people’s endorsement for the
politics of performance and rejection for the politics of appeasement, dynastic
rule, and casteism.
Addressing a packed press conference here, Mr Shah said, that
the country was entering into a new era of politics where only development was
the agenda.Thanking the people of Himachal Pradesh, Mr Shah said by giving two third mandate to BJP, the people of the state have shown that they want to be part of the development work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The BJP chief said that the caste politics played by the Congress in Gujarat was rejected by the people due to which many of their prominent leaders lost.
He said compared to last assembly elections in the both the states, the party had increased its vote share.
He also expressed hope that the party will win the upcoming elections in four states including Karnataka. UNI
