Khan Sahib Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen today chaired a meeting of officers to take a
review of various projects and schemes being implemented under district and
state sector across the constituency in addition to availability of
essential commodities.
The meeting was attended by SDM Khan Sahib, SDPO, CMO and CPO Budgam and other
concerned officers.
The MLA took
an in-depth review of the functioning of various departments including
FCS&CA, R&B, health, PHE, PDD, municipalities, Rural Development,
education and health sector.
Addressing
the meeting, the MLA urged all public servants to reach out to the people so
that various initiatives and welfare schemes launched under different missions
would improve the lives of the deprived and the objectives envisaged is
realized.
The
MLA urged upon the concerned for ensuring availability of essential commodities
and providing uninterrupted water and power supply in the rural areas keeping
in view present weather conditions.
While taking a review of the functioning of Agriculture Animal Husbandry,
Horticulture the MLA impressed upon the departments that they should play a key
role in the upliftment of farmers and also ensure marketing and distribution of
essential produce in a hassle free manner .
Earlier MLA was given a detailed account of works and projects underway by
concerned functionaries. He was told that work on macadamization of a road from
Raithan to Mujipathri at a cost of Rs 3.87 crore is in process. He was informed
that under PHE
sector many short-term and longterm measures for augmenting drinking water
facilities in various areas of the constituency have been taken up. The meeting
was informed that with the execution of 2nd phase of Sukhnag Water Supply scheme
as many as 43 left out villages would get drinking water facility. Regarding
Health sector, the Chief Medical Officer Budgam assured MLA that all the
existing CHCs would be fully equipped with first aid and other emergency
requirements.
