‘Govt transfers funds directly into bank accounts of beneficiaries
through PFMS’
JAMMU, JANUARY 19: Minister
for Rural Development & Panchayati, Raj Abdul Haq, while replying to a
question of Showkat Hussain Ganaie, informed the house that around 123
households have been provided financial assistance under Pradhan Mantri Awas
Yojana (Gramin) PMAY (G) scheme in Shopian during the current financial year.
Meanwhile, replying to another question of Legislator Sham Lal Bhagat,
the Minister informed that 2126 beneficiaries have been given 1st instalment
under IAY for 2015-16 and 5429 under PMAY for 2016-17 in Jammu division.
He further informed that the government transfers the payment directly
in the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries through Public Financial
Management System (PFMS).
Giving details, the Minister informed that the first instalment of Rs
50,000 is given to the beneficiaries at the time of sanction of the PMAY unit
after registration of beneficiary and verification of their bank accounts. The
second instalment of Rs. 50,000 and third installment of Rs. 30,000 are given
at the time of completion of plinth level and roofcast level of the unit
respectively, he added.
Legislator Pradeep Sharma also raised supplementary question related to
the main question.
