UDHAMPUR, JANUARY
20: To finalize the necessary arrangements for the celebration of Republic Day
2018 a meeting of District Officers was held under the Chairmanship of District
Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Ravinder Kumar.
Threadbare
discussions were held on various arrangements related to the smooth conduct of
the function like seating, barricading, drinking water and power supply,
sanitation, first- aid, security, transport, traffic regulations and
refreshment to students participating in the National function.
It was
decided in the meeting that the day would start with playing of Shehnai Vadan
from 6.30 a.m. at stipulated places by the
District Information Centre, followed by flag hoisting by VIP at PG Degree
College for Boys, Udhampur at 9:55 AM and
march past by the contingents of District Police, SKPA, NCC, and school
children of various educational institutions. Cultural programmes, Skits and
physical display by school students would also be presented.
DC asked the
concerned officers to ensure better coordination for making effective
arrangements pertaining to their departments for the function.
He called upon the
officers and employees of all departments to remain present at the venue on the
day of function.
The meeting was
attended by, Senior Superintendent of Police, Rayees Bhat, Addition District
Development Commissioner, Arvind Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner Krishan
Lal, PO ICDS Rimpy Ohri, PO IWMP Sushil Kesar, Joint Director Planning Ashok
Khajuria, Chief Education Officer J.R Bharadwaj, Chief Medical Officer Dr. K.C
Dogra, ARTO Kuldeep Singh besides District Heads of various departments,
representative of schools and colleges were present in the meeting.
