20: To finalize the arrangements for the celebration of Republic Day-2018
Additional District Development Commissioner, Ramban Ravinder Nath Sadhu held a
meeting of officers here today.
Additional Deputy
Commissioner Gurvinder Jit Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Vivek Puri,
XENs, CMO, DYSSO and officers of various departments were present in the
meeting.
It was informed in
the meeting that the venue of the function will be District Police Line Ground
at Chandrog where the National Flag will be unfurled by the chief guest at9:55 AM. The VIP will take salute followed by the parade
comprising seventeen contingents including Jammu and Kashmir Police, IRP, CRPF,
Forest Protection Force, NCC cadets and school children. Colorful cultural
programmes will also be presented by the students.
Issues regarding
security, seating arrangements, transport, drinking water and electricity
supply, barricading, traffic regulation, illumination of important buildings,
medicare and sanitation were discussed in the meeting.
The ADDC directed the concerned officers to
ensure attendance of their staff and better coordination to put in place the
requisite arrangements for making national function a grand success.
