Placement drive concludes at Govt. Polytechnic Jammu

JAMMU, JANUARY 20: Two days Placement drive under Udaan was conducted by Tata Motors at Govt. Polytechnic, Jammu on 18th and 19th January for the post of “Trainee Service Manager” and “Dealer Sales Executive” in which various passed out Diploma Engineer and Graduate Engineer in Mechanical, Electrical and Automobile branches as well as other graduates and post Graduates appeared.

Swati Jha, Senior Manager Skill Development & Training in Tata Motors, Gurugram, Haryana along with her team members conducted the placement drive. Pre-counseling placement session was also conducted for the students to give them exposure including brief introduction about Tata Motors which was followed by general Aptitude test and personal interview.

The placement drive received an overwhelmed response and more than 100 students from the various institutions appeared for placement and finally 34 candidates were selected. The selected candidates will undergo training on Technical & Managerial Skill Development in first six months in reputed Education school and Tata Motors training centre at Banglore. After successful completion of training, they will be placed in the set up along with the initial salary of Rs.15000/- per month.

Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal of the college thanked Tata Motors for providing the job opportunity to the Polytechnic and other students. He suggested the students to make full use of their technical skills for employability to various organizations and stressed on the importance of campus placement drives. The Placement drive was organized under the supervision of Training and Placement cell of Polytechnic Jammu, Mr. Rajesh Khajuria Training and Placement Officer, Er. Deepak Gupta, Er. P. K Angral and Er. Atul Sudan.
