Jan 17: Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal claimed that Punjab
would produce record production of cotton and this had led to Rupees 15,000
crore additional financial infusions in the state economy.
Manpreet Badal said here today during his brief stopover said
here today that state government have announced number of projects for the
development of Shri Mukatsar Sahib. He said that construction of railway over bridge would start soon on the Jlalabad road which was pending since its in inauguration by the Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal.
He also said that the Punjab has the record production of cotton and this had led to rupees 15,000 crore additional financial infusions in the state economy, which the Akalis had destroyed with their policies. He also referred to the Rupees 31,000 crore food credit amount taken by the Akalies, who even got loans against future income of Mandi Board.
FM also stated that government was doing its best to bring the economy of the state back on track. He also claimed that from the 4th budget onwards the sate government would become revenue-surplus. UNI
