BANDIPORA, JANUARY 16:
District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Sajjad Hussain today convened a
meeting to review the progress of various development works committed by Chief
Minister Mehbooba Mufti during her outreach programme and timelines fixed by Divisional
Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan.
The DDC reviewed all the 287 commitments and directed
concerned officers to redouble their efforts to ensure timely completion of
development works within the stipulated time frame.
He also took stock of the 29 works for which Government
sanctioned a separate budget of Rs
4.60 crore and was informed that execution of the most of the works has taken
place in various areas of the district.
The meeting was informed that work is progressing on
100-bedded District Hospital at a cost of Rs 28.25 crore and is expected to be
completed by ending June this year.
The meeting was also informed that work is also in progress
on Rs 18.17 crore 50-bedded Community Health Centre Hajin, besides it was said
that water supply pipes have been laid at the Degree College Sumbal.
The DDC also reviewed the progress on shifting of the pump
station at Hakbara, besides, development of Nishat Park, Gulshan Chowk and
installation of street lights in Bandipora and Hajin towns.
Among others, Superintendent Engineers of various wings
attended the meeting.
