New Delhi, Jan 5: Fog continued to grip the national capital and NCR region on Friday morning as
67 trains were delayed ,20 rescheduled and 18 got cancelled ,while 17 flights
were also delayed due to affected visibilty.
Cold wave conditions also prevailed ,while minimum
temperature settled at 7.2 degrees C, people on some streets were seen battling
the chills by lighting fire and gathering around.
Shallow fog is expected during the day while the sky will remai clear, the weatherman said.
However, the air quality remained 'very poor' with the index value of 378 at 1000 hours , according to the Central Pollution Control Board.
Relative humidity at 0830 hours today was 97 per cent, as per Met office.
The maximum temperature in the day is likely to settle around 20 degrees C, the Met official said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature settled at 2.3 degrees C. UNI
