Fire claims 5 workers in sleep at Bengaluru Bar

Bengaluru, Jan 8: Five workers, who were fast asleep at a bar-cum-restaurant in the city died, after a fire broke out, in the early hours of Monday.

According to police, the cause of the fire that engulfed the Bar, which is located in a busy area, was not immediately known.
Two fire tenders and a rescue van were rushed to the spot to douse the flames, which started at around 0230 hrs.
The workers, who lost their lives, hailed from Tumkur, Mandya and Hassan districts of Karnataka. Police said they are investigating the incident. UNI
