New Delhi, Jan 8: Taking cognizance of reports on deaths of homeless persons due to cold in
Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said that he would issue a show
cause notice to the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) in this
regard.
Citing media reports on deaths of 44 persons, Mr
Kejriwal tweeted, "I am issuing show cause notice to CEO, DUSIB.
Negligible deaths last year."
Blaming DUSIB official over the incident, the Chief Minister also attacked Lt Governor Anil Baijal for allegedly not consulting the Government before appointing such officer. "How do we run Government like this?," Mr Kejriwal tweeted.
Earlier this morning, rebel AAP leader and MLA, Kapil Mishra also claimed that 44 homeless died on Delhi roads due to severe cold in the last six days. UNI
