No proposal to regularize employees working under CSS

JAMMU, JANUARY 18:– Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, while replying to a question of legislator Javid Ahmad Mirchail, informed the House that proposal of opening Fire and Emergency at Gabra in Kupwara district is under consideration of the Government.

“The decision with regard to opening of Fire and Emergency at Gabra has already been taken in the DDB meeting, the Minister said adding that proposal in this regard stands submitted which is under the examination of the Home Department”.

Replying to a question of legislator Ali Mohammad Dar, the Minister  informed that employees working on contractual basis under Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) like NHM and MGNREGA are governed under the norms and regulations  devised by Government of India.

Referring to the decision of the state government to regularize the Daily Rated Workers, the Minister said that the employees working on contractual basis under Centrally Sponsored Schemes do not come under the ambit of the Act, adding that the service conditions of these employees shall continue to be regulated by the prescribed norms and regulations governing these schemes.
