New Delhi, Jan 2: Allaying apprehensions among the medical community about the proposed National
Medical Commission Bill, Health Minister J P Nadda on Tuesday said that the new
institution would benefit doctors .
Responding in the Rajya Sabha to concerns by members of the
Opposition on the proposed law, Mr Nadda said,'the National Medical Commission
Bill will benefit doctors.'
Government, he added, was having detailed discussions with doctors to clear doubts over the proposed bill.
Mr Nadda added that Government had also put forth its perspective before the doctors .
Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Samajwadi Party's Naresh Agrawal said that doctors going on strike , in protest against the Bill, would severely impact health services pan-India.
Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad said Government should take an initiative to end the strike of the doctors. UNI
