Police solves kidnapping case within hrs, rescues victim in Ganderbal

Srinagar, Feb 28: Jammu and Kashmir Police has solved a kidnapping case within hours by rescuing the girl and arresting the accused involved in the crime in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal.

A police spokesperson said that Ganderbal police received a complaint from one Muhammad Maqbool Dar that his daughter (name withheld) has been kidnapped by one Muhammad Altaf Dar.
A case was registered and investigation was taken up, he said.
He said within hours of the report filed, the police traced the girl and the accused involved. “The girl was rescued and the accused involved was arrested. After completion of legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her parents,” he added. UNI
