10: Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly Ramesh Chennithala has alleged
that Pinarayi Government’s failure to convene the Special Cabinet meeting on
Friday due to lack of quorum was a shame to the State.
In a release here, the Opposition leader said this was the
first time in the history of State that a Cabinet meeting was cancelled due to
lack of quorum. Of the 19 ministers, only six turned up for the special
meeting, failing to extend the validity of certain ordinances, he added.
Terming the incident as an insult on the people of Kerala, the Opposition leader said the CPI (M) Ministers are busy with the party meetings. The Ministers have no moral right to continue in power.
