Srinagar,
Feb 6: Militants attacked a security force camp with a hand grenade in
south Kashmir district of Pulwama on Monday night, official source said.
They said militants hurled a hand grenade towards the camp of
50 Rashitriya Rifles (RR) at Kakpora in Pulwama last night. However, the
grenade hit the outer-wall of the camp and exploded without causing any damage.
Security forces immediately retaliated but the militants managed to escape
under the cover of darkness. A police spokesman confirming the attack said in a
tweet “ Grenade lobbed by terrorists at #Kakapora. Area under cordon”.Later, a massive search operation was launched in the nearby areas. However, no one was arrested, they said.
The attack on the camp came hours after police busted a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) module involved in grenade attacks on security forces in south Kashmir. UNI
