New Delhi, Feb 6: The main opposition Party Congress on Tuesday described the present Narendra Modi-led government as a government of failures and asked to work in place of raising merely rhetoric phrases (Jumalas).
Taking part in the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address, Opposition Congress leader in the Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge said that the present government has failed on every aspect as it did nothing except changing the names of the schemes launched by former Prime minister Manmohan Singh-led UPA government.
Attacking on the ruling BJP government, Mr Kharge said this government spent most of its time in raising merely rhetoric phrases (Jumalas) and tried to misguide people of the country. 
He asked the government to leave the 'Jumalas' behind and work for the poor people without making discrimination among the sections of the societies.
Giving the details of achievements and contributions of Congress Governments in the past, he said the country has reached to this stage with pride due to work and sacrifices of its successive governments in the past 70 years.
He criticised the Modi government on the failure in maintaining the law and order situation, specially in the states ruled by the BJP governments. 
He said our soldiers are being killed in Pakistani firings at the LoC. Mr Modi had promised 10 heads for one Indian soldier killed. But where are 10 heads and why our soldiers are being killed everyday. 
'There as countless achievements which are visible in every sphere of the country,' said Mr Kharge.
He said the present government changed the names of previous government schemes and its Prime Minister inaugurated those schemes to claim the achievements of previous government's schemes.
On implementation of Aadhaar, the Congress leader said this government is misusing Aadhaar to get the personal info to terrorise and blackmail people. He also raised suspicion on the intention of the Modi government over the Aadhaar.
On the rising prices of diesel and petrol, Mr Kharge said the present government saved Rs 6 lakh crore as the crude oil prices had went down, but it never let the country know where this money was utilised. UNI
