Lucknow, Feb 15: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) on Thursday clarified that it
has already decided against out of the court settlement on Ayodhya matter and
hence, there was no question on holding any talk over the issue now.
AIMPLB Executive member and Imam of Aishbagh Idgah, Lucknow
Mulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali said the board had already cleared its
stand on the issue, to go by the Supreme Court's decision and hence, Mr Nadvi's
latest move for talks on the issue has no meaning.
Talking to here, the Maulana said Mr Nadvi had been of this view (out of court settlement), even in the past.
"But, Nadvi is a lone voice in the Board, which will go only by the court," he said.
When asked about the controversy of charges against Mr Nadvi seeking money and Rajya Sabha berth in return for amicable solution to the Ayodhya issue, Mr Mahal said it was up to Mr Nadvi to clarify the charges and the government agencies and police should probe these allegations. UNI
