Agra, Feb 5: The much-awaited Taj Mahotsav 2018 which had earlier showcased the Mughal culture of the country, will now have a saffron colour with dance drama on Lord Ram on February 18.
The 10-day festival, which will commence from February 18 and will end on February 27 has the theme of 'Dharohar'(Heritage) this time.
Governor Ram Naik and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have been invited for the Taj Mahotsav but they are yet to confirm their participation.
Earlier the festival had showcased the Mughal time music and its traditions.
Deputy director of UP Tourism Dinesh Kumar said here on Monday that preparation are on on a war-footing for the Mahotsav. 
He said the organising committee has invited the Governor and Chief Minister in the mahotsav but they are yet to confirm it.
The official confirmed that on the opening day of the Taj Mahotsav, a dance drama would be organised on the open threater on the life of Lord Ram.
"Several artists from foreign countries besides local artists would be given opportunity to perform before the people during the Mahotsav.The dates of the programmes would be finalised very soon," he added.
Taj Mahotsav, one of the most eagerly awaited festivals, is celebrated every year at Shilpgram near the Eastern gate of "Taj Mahal".
This carnival is actually a vibrant platform that gives information of country's rich arts, crafts, cultures, cuisine, dance and music.
