Bengaluru, Mar 20: Bereaved former AIADMK General Secretary V K Sasikala has been granted a 15 day
conditional Parole to attend the funeral of her husband M Natarajan who had
died in a Chennai hospital on Monday night.
According to official sources, Ms Sasikala, undergoing three
year imprisonment at the Parapanna Agrahara Central Jail here in connection
with a disproportionate wealth case, has been granted bail on the condition
that she would stay only in Thanjavur and should not visit Chennai.
The Parole was granted after getting a confirmation from the Tamil Nadu Police.
This is the second time Ms Sasikala has been granted Parole as she had earlier been to Chennai for a week when her husband underwent kidney transplant operation. At that time too she was given Parole on conditions that she should not involve in political activities.
She will be proceeding to Thanjavur directly from the jail. UNI
