New Delhi, Mar 30: The BJP chief Amit Shah on Friday formed a four-member panel of party leaders
to take stock of the situation in violence-hit parts of Asansol area in Burdwan
district of West Bengal.
According to an announcement by the party here, the panel
will be headed by BJP vice president Om Mathur and will also comprise of party
leaders Shahnawaz Hussain, Roopa Ganguly and B D Ram.
"The committee will visit the area and submit a report to the party president," BJP said in a release.
Several incidents of violence have been reported from the region including Raniganj near Asansol wherein a senior police official was also injured.
The BJP has slammed the Trinamool Congress dispensation in the state and especially targeted the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee saying the Chief Minister was busy "politicking" in the national capital when the state was "burning".

aid, "The Chief Minister (Mamata Banerjee) has constitutional obligation. She also holds the Home portfolio but the Chief Minister is roaming about in Delhi merely chasing the mirage of a Third Front".
Union Minister Babul Supriyo, who is also Asabsol MP, has also attacked the state government. UNI
