DIC organises consumer awareness camp

RAMBAN, MARCH 16: District Information Centre (DIC) today organized a Consumer Awareness Camp to create awareness among people on “Consumer Rights”,  at Sarbhagni village of Ramban.

During the camp, resource persons spoke about  Consumers rights and referred to the multimedia campaign “JagoGrahakJago” an initiative of the GoI, department of Consumer Affairs towards consumer education and awareness.

The villagers were made aware of their rights and self protection. Resource persons explained about various provisions and methodology by which consumer can approach different fora for settlement of grievances.  They also threw light on consumer rights, duties and responsibilities as consumer, so that consumer does not become victim of unfair trade practices.
