New Delhi, Mar 15: Clearly in no mood to budge, an unrelenting Opposition kept up its pressure on
the Government on various issues on Thursday forcing the Rajya Sabha to be
adjourned for the second time till 1500 hrs.
Deputy Chairperson P J Kurien tried to initiate a short
duration discussion in the House when the House reassembled at 1400 hrs after
the first adjournment. However, Trinamool Congress members entered into the
Well of the House raising slogans on the multi-crore banks scam joined by
members from Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
They were shouting slogans of 'Janata ka paisa wapas lao' and 'Nirav Modi wapas lao'.
Trying to restore order, Prof Kurien said, 'Notice has been given for a short duration discussion. The chairman has admitted it.'
As the Opposition continued to raise slogans and some displayed banners, he then asked 'why are you coming into the Well of the House and shouting' before adjourning the House within minutes till 1500 hrs. UNI
