Discusses observation, recommendations, directions given by Committee
JAMMU, MARCH 16: The Ethics Committee of Jammu
and Kashmir Legislative Assembly under the Chairmanship of MLA, Abdul Rahim
Rather today called on Speaker Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta to discuss
the working of the Committee.
Legislator, Syed Mohammad Baqir Rizvi, Asgar Ali Karbalai, Raja Manzoor
Ahmed and Neelam Kumar Langeh also accompanied the Chairman as the members of
the Ethics Committee.
Threadbare discussions were held on the observations, recommendations
and directions made by the Ethic Committee in its 2nd report of 12th Legislative
Assembly for the years of 2016-17 and 2017-18 which has already been submitted
in the house in last budget session.
The Chairman and members of the Committee also highlighted the other
issues regarding the working of the Committee besides steps has been taken to
make the Committee more viable and result oriented.
The Committee also highlighted the issues of the legislators being faced
by them during the field visits and developmental activities of the legislators
in their respective areas besides issues related to providing proper security,
wireless operators, accommodations and squad vehicles as per protocol given to
them.
The Speaker also read the report of the Committee and appreciated
Chairman and the members of the Committee for the efforts taken by them to
prepare a report of the Committee.
The Committee also appreciated the Speaker to conduct smooth budget
session 2018-19 and seeks directions to the concerned authorities to take
necessary steps to implement the observations, recommendations and directions
of the committee in letter and spirit.
Secretary Assembly, M R Singh, Deputy Secretary, Abdul Qayoom Mir and
senior officers of Assembly Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
