Delhi, Mar 15: The Supreme Court on Thursday said that a meeting has to be
convened at its Consultation Room between the homebuyers and the Real Estate
company, Amrapali, regarding the progress of refund and delivering of flat
status to the homeowners.
A division bench, headed by Justice Arun Mishra and also
comprising Justice Uday Umesh lalit said this after hearing several pleas in
connection with several homebuyers against the real estate company, Amrapali. "Let the meeting be held on March 17, Saturday, at 11am at the Supreme Court consultation room between the homebuyers and the real estate company, Amrapali. A joint statement has to be filed before it, " the two-judge Bench of the Apex Court said.
The Apex Court told that a Joint statement with respect to the meeting's details has to be filed before it as to what happened in it and any decision taken has to be informed to it.
The Top Court also said that the meeting shall be video recorded and fixed the matter for further hearing to March 27.
The Supreme Court was of the opinion that a 'consensus' needs to be arrived between the homeowners/ homebuyers and the builder. UNI
