Job fair held at Pulwama

PULWAMA, MARCH 12:   One-day special employment fair-cum-recruitment drive was organized here today at District Employment and Counseling Center Pulwama. 

The programme, organized under the aegis of Department of Employment and Department of Labour and Employment, was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner Pulwama Ghulam Mohammad Dar.

The DDC later inspected various stalls set up by private companies and line departments including Finance, Human Resource, Construction company RAMKY, Automation and Information Technology, Department of Horticulture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Khadi and Village, District Industries Centre, Handloom and Floriculture.

The DDC inquired about the schemes being provided by the line departments for unemployed youth of the district.

Speaking on the occasion, DDC accentuated that educated youth should come forward and take benefits of the schemes and programmes. He urged the stakeholders for full cooperation to make the event successful in the larger interest of the unemployed youth of the district. He exhorted upon RAMKY officials to engage local unemployed civil engineering graduate candidates in their concerned projects especially in the construction of Ring Road and NH444 in the District.

During the fair, scores of unemployed educated youth registered themselves with different companies and departments.

General Manager District Industries Centre Tahir Ahmad Magray, District Social welfare officer Suhail Ahmad Lone, Assistant Director Employment Pulwama AbdulRaqeeb Bhat and other district officers were present on the occasion.
