Police recovers kidnapped girl within 24 hrs in Budgam, arrests accused

Srinagar, Mar 26: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday recovered a girl, who was kidnapped from central Kashmir district of Budgam, within 24 hours and arrested the accused. 

A police spokesperson said on March 25, 2018 Budgam police station received a written complaint from one Aijaz Ahmad of Kakan Maran that his sister (name withheld) had been kidnapped by one Zahoor Ahmad Dar of Chatabugh Budgam.
A case was registered and investigation was taken up, he said.
During the course of investigation, he said raids were conducted by police at various suspected places.
“The girl was recovered and the accused was also arrested during the intervening night of March 25 and March 26, 2018,” he said.
Police have registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident, he added. UNI
