Udaipur, Mar 9: The stage is set for today's swearing-in ceremony of BJP's young 'Turk' Biplap Deb, who would take oath as the new Chief Minister of Tripura at Assam Rifles Ground here adjacent to Raj Bhawan.
According to information, received by the ICA department of Tripura, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will remain present in this programme.
This type of star-studded oath-taking ceremony is being organised for the first time in Tripura in which a galaxy leaders across the country, including Chief Ministers of various states, would grace the occasion.
Deb was born in the year 1972 at Rajdharnagar under Udaipur sub-division of Gomati District in Tripura.
Born in a middle class family, he had his schooling at Jamjuri HS School and then Ramesh HS School. He completed his graduation from Netaji Subhash Mahavidyalya, Udaipur, in 1999.
Deb started his political career through RSS and got K N Gobindacharya as his political mentor. He had worked with Sunil Deodhar in Tripura to bring the BJP to the saddle after toppling the 25-year-old Left regime.
His father died in 2012 and his mother Minabala Debi lives with him.
He has three sisters - Bani Deb, Rani Deb and Mithu Deb.
All the sisters of Deb are living at Udaipur and they are married.
Deb is married to Niti Deb, a SBI Manager, with two children - Ariyan Deb and
Shreya Deb.
Shreya is studying in class six and Ariyan in Class ten.
The locals of Rajdharnagar, the birthplace of Deb, are ecstatic over his becoming the CM of Tripura. UNI
