Katni, MP, Apr 7: Ten people, including a woman, were today killed and four others injured when
their auto-rickshaw collided with a truck head-on near Surki Tank in Madhya
Pradesh's Katni district, police said.
The auto-rickshaw was en route from Majhganva to
Katni when the mishap occurred. Eight people died on the spot. Two others
succumbed at the hospital.
The deceased were identified as Jhmman Bhumia, Kodu Burman, Rammu Burman, Sunil Chaudhary, Raghurai Choudhary, Neelam Baghel, Sugara Chaudhary, Bhima Bahelia, Babu Chaudhary and Sushil Chaudhary.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan condoled the demise on social media and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 1 lakh to the deceased's kin and Rs 50,000 financial assistance to the injured. UNI
