Jammu, Apr3: While performing his duty of serving the people belonging to the weaker sections of the society through welfare schemes of the Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation, Vice- Chairperson Balbir Ram Rattan, is also making efforts to secure benefits from other organisations for the socio-economic upliftment of these sections.
The new success in this regard is securing concessions in favour of the ten (10) kids belonging to the reserved categories to study in Mount Litera Zee School, Anand Nagar, Bohri, Jammu.
An official letter mentioning the decision of the Management was handed over to the Vice-Chairperson by School Chairman, Parneesh Mahajan, who responded to the VC that the Management has acceded to the request made by him considering it as a social service towards the families of weaker sections for whom few concessions have been granted.
The Actual Annual Fee amounting to rupees 22,000 has been fully waved off for the kids of weaker sections. Similarly, a concession of 30 per cent in Actual Annual Charges of rupees 18,500 and 25 per cent of rupees 2,500 in Actual Monthly Fee too have been granted.
Balbir Ram Rattan, on this occasion, expressed gratitude to the Chairman for doing a marvellous work by granting such concessions to the families of weaker sections who too dream of sending their kids to the prestigious institutions but cannot do the same due to their financial position.
Parneesh Mahajan stressed upon the VC to recommend the names of kids from genuinely deserving families so that the prime objective of helping the poorest among them is achieved.
