Srinagar, Apr 26: Normal life remained
affected for the second day on Thursday in some areas in south Kashmir district
of Pulwama, where four militants, including two foreigners, were killed in an
encounter with security forces on Tuesday.
An Army soldier and a Special Operation Group (SOG) personnel of Jammu
and Kashmir police were also martyred in the encounter.
Shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off the road in Tral and adjoining area though there was no strike call from any separatist organisation.
However, some private vehicles were seen plying on some routes. Work in government offices, banks and other institutions was also affected. Educational institutions remained closed in the town. Life was normal in other parts of Pulwama. UNI
